It's not snowing. There is no ice. I don't have to wear a jacket when I go outside. I don't have to climb into my car and freeze my buns off waiting for the seat warmer to kick in.
Did I say there is no snow??
We arrived safely after a 3 1/2 hr drive to my mom's on Monday (to outrun the storm) and then a 16 hour drive south on Tuesday.
Drive, I say, just drive.
And keep driving.
I watch the temperature gauge on the car go UP and not DOWN. I love that part.
And I love watching the barren, snow afflicted trees turn more tropical and gain green, green, green as we drive south, south, south.
It's good to be here.
